Alan Grujic

CTO

Alan is the Chief Technology Officer at Real Asset Industries. He has programmed robotic automotive assembly lines, ran bond and derivatives trading departments in Toronto, London, and Tokyo. Alan has founded or co-founded several financial technology companies and Silvertrain AI, an AI company designed to consult on commercial real estate.

The first company Alan co-founded grew to be the largest proprietary trading firm in Canada and a major market participant in Europe and the US by building proprietary low-latency trading algorithms. The company, Infinium, was an early adopter of machine learning techniques.

After that, Alan founded and ran a large quantitative hedge fund that leveraged extremely large data sets and complex statistical data science techniques. Most recently, he founded and built a mobile and web-based trading app with innovative back-end data analytics that was acquired by PayPal.

Alan holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
